About Me

THE BRAZIL 9000 EXPEDITION - Two friends. 9000 human-powered kilometers across Brazil.

In August 2012 we (Aaron and Gareth) will return to Brazil and attempt to become the first people ever to complete a voyage from the country’s most northern point at Caburaí, to its southern extreme at Chuí, covering a distance of over 9000km (5500miles) by foot, paddle and pedal. We will be paddling the Rio Branco, Rio Negro then the main Amazon river in our Ally canoe. On our hike down the coast after the Amazon phase we will be using packrafts to cross the numeorus river mouths along the way.

You can check out our previous Amazonian adventures in our film South at the 28th Spring, We’d love for you all to follow us! Sign up to our mailing list below for the occasional expedition update, or join us on Facebook and Twitter

About Me

I have canoed/ kayaked (Sea Eagle inflatable) by myself many times, mostly the Everglades since I live in Florida. It's the 2nd largest park in the U.S. It's easy to get lost in there. Crocodiles, alligators, so many fish you can walk on them, so many birds they darken the sky...

I've hiked and kayaked in many place in the Rocky Mountains including Canada.  I have a place in Ontario between Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

I have been looking at places in South America.  Always looking for pristine, and keeping it that way...

Jeff
